Our Story

From a Phone Call to a Foundation

The Afi Uda Village Foundation (AUVF) is a community-driven, non-profit organization established to promote social welfare, educational advancement, peace, and sustainable development within Afi Uda village and the wider Uda communities.

The Foundation was founded by six distinguished sons of Afi Uda village: Cyril Etuk, John Etim Edet, Patrick Itiaba, Attah Tom, Xavier Ekuwem, and Prof. Anthony Ikaiddi. In July 2023, Dr. Matthias Effiong Nkuda joined as a regular contributor, further strengthening the mission.

What began as a compassionate idea during a January 2021 telephone conversation has grown into a multi-million-naira organization dedicated to transforming lives across the community.
